A hot lavender bubble bath usually relaxes me. But I swear, I have the same problem.. I'm taking a trip to the doc soon, you should di the same. I'm pretty sure they have prescriptions for this.

I was having trouble with my sleep too like couple days ago. If you can't sleep and if it's about to be the time you wake up just stay up and throughout the day do stuff that will get you tired and if you get sleepy try not to sleep til night time it might work, it worked for me.

Melatonin should help you. melatonin is natural to the body, so no worries. of course you shouldnt take too much of them.

Another suggestion of melatonin. I get ultra vivid nightmares from it, so I can't take it, same thing from Tylenol pm, but try it. It's probably the first thing a dr would recommend.

Do lots of sports so when you go to bed your tired. I have insomnia and my psychologist recommended to let all your thoughts through ypur head for a few minutes and then clear your mind. imagine the color black. think black. only black. it works for me. you could also try sleeping pills.

There are multiple things that contribute to insomnia - from stress to not enough physical or mental activity throughout the day - try reading a book before bed to wind down and turn off all your electronics and make sure your room is dark when you go to bed - also it helps if the room is cold at 70F that is the ideal sleeping temp - and you can also try working out at least 30 minutes a day and try to destress before bed (either with the book or you can try yoga or a hot bath) there are many studies out there on how to get better sleep just google it - otherwise this post may get deleted since BL got rid of their health section.

Don't self medicate with Nyquil as one suggested. After awhile it stops working and then after awhile you are doubling up dosage upping your risk of accidental overdose. Not only that...stuff just isnt great for the liver. What works for me...reading before bed and giving the cell phone a break by not reaching for it before bedtime. I actually keep it charged up in another room. I found that if I goofed around on it right before bed my mind would be awake and running. As oppossed to slowing down. I even reach for a soothing night time tea (caffeine free of course).

I hope they are able to get to the bottom of the problem and its resolved for you Yasmine. My step-dad has a sleep study done and they were able to pin-point the issue fairly quickly. Hope you receive the same outcome so you can get your beauty sleep.xxx
