What can I use ( in exception of self tanners) something that has a long duration and looks real.

Beside self tanners I don't know anything that stays long but contouring can help you for looking more tanned :)

Like naturally? A booth? A non-self applied spray tan? In what ways are you tanning?

Usually wearing a lower SPF tanning oil then laying out in the pool works for me. The water attracts the sun and man does It help me tan!

With fair skin, sometimes you just can't tan! I'm unfortunately one of those people who just go from white to red in the sun. Self tanning can really help though. I just use a tanning lotion from Neutrogena and it really helps create a gorgeous glow!

If you are going away for about a week and want to look tan you might want to get a spray tan professionally. The longer you wait before showering-the longer it will last. You will look strange the first day-so get it done when you won't be going out. Get the spray tan in the evening and don't shower until as late as possible the next day-good luck!

You could use a moisturiser that has a slight gradual tanner in it.

I'm very far skinned and have never been able to tan. If you do try to tan be sure to protect your skin with a decent SPF. Don't sacrifice your health for a summer glow.
