I wouldn't say it's "normal" for your eyes to freak out, but it's definitely not rare. Because it was your 1st time, maybe you got some glue on your actual eyelid & it got on your eyeball?
Was your lid okay when you took them off? No sensitivity, redness, or swelling? I hope you're not allergic!

The first few times I wore lashes my eyes were very watery...I think just the weight of something on my lashes...I couldn't stop blinking like crazy... But I continued to try and wear them...and now I wear strip lashes everyday with no problems

If your eye isn't swelling up, it's probably not an allergic reaction. Probably your eye got irritated from you putting them on, because most likely there was some tugging at the eyelid. Also it's possible that some of the glue got too close to the corner of your eye and ended up in your eye, which is irritating it. Check really carefully in a magnifying mirror with good light to make sure nothing is in your eye (if there is, obv get it out!). If not, just let your eyes rest for a bit and see if they're just irritated from being handled too much. If the pain keeps going on for a couple of hours/days, go see a doctor!

Took them off after about and hour. No ill effects. No swelling redness. There wasn't any pain at all Alice!! Just super watery eyes!! Once I got them off it all stopped.

Huh, that's really weird! Did the lashes feel heavy on your lids? If so, it may have been the extra weight that your eyes weren't used to so they started watering.

I have the same problem, Lori! I think it's just our eyes not being used to the extra weight. If you still wanna use falsies, maybe try individuals rather than a full strip. It's less weight, and you can get used to having something extra on your eye.

But the question on that Courtney is how do you apply them?? I saw then at Sally's yesterday and thought hmm maybe those will work better. Or maybe the lashes I was wearing were to extreme for a first attempt!? There are thinner ones with not so many lashes maybe those would work better? Sorry ladies I'm new to false lashes I'm not to new to make up but I'm still learning
