They work best when your hair is a couple of days old, then spray with dry shampoo for texture and work down from the root, its easier than a curling iron, then you can spray it with either salt spray or hair spray then scrunch and they stay in a long time. hope I helped:-)

I have the Carmen one and my step grandmother gave it to me for Christmas so I'm not sure where it came from.
