I'm thinking of purchasing a BB cream with a lighter coverage, preferably under $15. What's the best one?

I have not found an american bb cream that is anything more then tinted moist. Real bb creams were made initally in germany for post surgerical coverup and healing. Asian markets blossomed the product. Some if the best, imo, are korean. Real bbs come in one to three shades, ment to ixodize to your skintone with 10 to 20 mjnutes after application it takes the place of primer, spf, concealor, foundation. Its applied by patting with hands into skin. This aids in oxidation.
My favirites, skin79 (light purple bottle), dr. Jart++, lioele (less expensive, but heavy).

Only downside to asian bbs, is for darker skin types, its harder to find one. But, now that its more mainstream, many lines have added deeper shades.
Usa vs. Asian BBs... there is no competition. We just do not make real BBs
