So I decided to go natural like about 2 months ago and so I cut the side of my hair and now I want to cut the other side (Ik really weird) the only problem holding me back from cutting it is that it will become thick and tangled and give me such a bother it sucks. And the other thing that sucks is that I am African so I have African hair and that can be so hard to manage when natural please help. Everyday when I try and comb my it is soooooo tangled and not soft. How can I make it soft and easier to manage?

And I don't wash my hair everyday because I can't air dry because it will become more thick so that doubles the time (2-4 hrs)

You're right. If you brush your hair when it's wet it damages your hair. The hair particles open up or something and when you brush it takes out the good stuff

I have ethnic hair and I second using a wet brush or a wide tooth comb.
For curly hair types it is actually recommended to brush it wet not dry.

You CAN brush your hair while it is wet you just must be extremely careful and use a wide tooth comb or a brush designdesigned to use on wet hair. When I condition my hair I leve it in for quite a few minutes than come it out while under running water.

My hair is also thick and hard to manage I usually brush my hair before I go to bed at night, separating it in smaller sections makes it easier and adding leave in conditioner, braiding at night in about 6 to
8 sections can help in the morning by just taking them out and adding a little styling product. :)
