Oh and here's a tip, to make makeup stay on longer, put vasiline on before your makeup, and it will make it more pigmented too.

Actually, I don't recommend putting Vaseline on your face, atleast not near your eyes. It can breed bacteria and cause eye infections. But I love Payton's eyeliner pictorials, those would look very pretty with your eye shape. (:

Hi alexis welcome to beautylish, as for makeup tips the biggest one I can give you is be patience makeup takes time and practice, another tip would be always prime face eyes it makes a huge difference.

But wouldn't Vaseline clog pores/bad to put on your eyes? I dunno- just something I heard. Maybe just to be safe you could buy a primer for your face if you are planning to wear foundation and all that jazz. There are also separate primers for your eyes. (You put on primers before your actual makeup and it helps bring out the pigment of the product, reduces creasing and helps it to stay on longer) c:

Lili R.'s tip is key. And yes I almost forgot, welcome to beautylish! And just a few other tips besides priming your face are to use tape on the corners of your eyes if not a card to help you as a guideline when doing eyeliner. Keep your brushes clean with soap and water. Buy foundation for your skin type: oily, combination, etc. concealer should be a little lighter than your actual skin color to cover up undereye circles. Always blend your makeup. Filling in eyebrows makes heck of a difference. Just some of the random tips I could think up right now, haha.

To start out, I recommend getting good primers bc this will keep your makeup on all day (I wish I knew this when I first started :)), makeup does take a ton of trial and errors so don't give up!, keep brushes clean bc you don't want build up of bacteria on your brushes bc it will get in your product and on your face and clog pores, blend makeup really well, and stick to natural looks when first starting out!

I can only say this so many times to people today. EXPERIMENT. get the basics all together, eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, lipstick, foundation, bronzed, blush. mess.around and then compare it to professionals, fix what needs to be fixed and learn new things. I learned yo do several things!
