you could try dying it a super bright red instead of a deep red to are if it will show up on your dark hair.

Peroxide lightens hair with repeated use, and the sun helps speed up the process. Plus, it's 100% natural and it's affordable! :) I found the spray bottle to be helpful!

Also colour stripping. It does damage your hair to an extent but not as much as bleach. When I had super bright red hair I just colour stripped it!

Red is a very high maintence color. It fades extremely fast. So be prepared to re dye it very often. Try to skip washing your hair as much as possible.
