Birth control for acne?

Does birth control really help with hormonal acne? I'm 18 and my acne is just as bad, if not worse, as when I turned 13. It really hurts my confidence.

Yep! It can help with acne In most cases, sometimes it may have other side effects though and make it worse but that's only if they put you on a pill that's too higher or lower dosage for you :) if you ask specifically about it helping acne they'd be able to suggest one for that.

It can actually go both ways sorry to say.. it can clear you up or even give you more unfortunately =/ there's also many other side effects just please be careful I was on them a while back to regulate my period and they helped, but everyone is different. I would suggest try one for like a month or two and if they don't work switch em up.

Low dose birth control usually doesn't help with acne. a medium to high dose will help or it could make it worse. it's just trial and error. from my experience it helped clear up my face a lot.

I would see your doctor, and he can prescribe you the best birth control for your acne. It really made a huge difference for me!

My doctor gave me a birth control that would work best for acne and it has really helped a lot! It's called reclipsen, if you want to look it up.
