I am outside all day at camp and sit in the sun in a bathing suit. I don't want to tan, I'm latina and I already have a nice tan. I've NEVER been sunburned-I do wear sunscreen but I always tan so much! It's ridiculous how light I am under my bathing suit. I hate the tan lines. Would wearing a higher SPF work? I wear 45 now. Or are there any other ways to get rid of tan/stop it from happening?

I would try to stay out of the sun as much as you could, shade is amazing! I would bump up the SPF as much as you can!

Bump the SPF up. Sun Bum makes SPF 70 and I think there are other brands that may go even higher. Also reapply it every 2 hours. If you get the kind that's in a spray can it's easier to quickly reapply it. Try to keep the container in as cool of a place as possible though. Heat can break down the ingredients that make SPF work so it's important to keep it cool.

Can you use a parasol to block the sun? Or wear a big floppy hat?

I hate to contradict what's already been said but there's actually little point in bumping up your SPF. (These numbers may not be completely accurate but it still supports the point) Factor 30 absorbs around 97% of the sun's rays and factor 50 is about 98/99% so it's not actually that significant a difference considering the extra money you'll pay for a higher factor sunscreen. Using what you're using at the moment is fine, there's no sunscreen out there that will block 100% of the rays, just make sure you're reapplying frequently.
And like the others have suggested stay in the shade, wear a hat and just limit your sun exposure.
