You can French braid your bangs and let your hair loose since your hair is curly or you can French braid your bangs and you can fishtail the rest. On YouTube nguerriero19 has a video on how to do it.

If you like your natural hair I say just pull some away from your face and braid it on the back or pin it? If you would rather actually get a whole new look I'd say straighten with a chi (or one that works good on your hair) (be sure to use heat protectant!!) and then spiral curl or put in rollers.

I have wavy hair that is very thick... A lot of times I curl it and do half up half down. If your hair has the really tiny spiral curls, try a Dutch fishtail or three normal fishtails braided together. If you have more Shirley temple curls, try half up half down.

Oh and to brush it use a hair pick during day and a tangle teezer or "the wet brush" in the shower when it has lots of conditioner in because the hair gets damaged from brushing it too much. The brushes I suggested are pretty inexpensive. Idk how expensive hair picks are tho. Different brands will be different costs.
