What type of makeup would I match?

I usually only wear; eyeliner, mascara, foundation and fill in my eyebrows a little bit, I kind of feel like I want to wear eyeshadow but whenever I put some on it makes me look "cakey" or makes my eyes look farther apart. I have hooded eyes which makes it harder lol.
