Do you mean split ends? if so, you can only cut them, they cannot be repaired. you can prevent them though.

Yeah you have to cut your split ends there's nothing else you can do about it. Try not wearing your hair up in ponytails or buns and make sure they aren't at all tight if you have to. This can break and shorten your hair near your face.

Yes what Lynzie said:) The only remedy for split ends is to cut them off.

What has helped my edges grow back in fully is that I have stopped using sulfate shampoos. I only use cleansing conditioners. all products are silicone, paraban and sulfate free. my scalp is much healthier and my hair is growing beautifully and edges no longer sparse and brittle

Landrey is right! I started using Giovanni products (from Ulta) and my hair literally changed overnight.

And when you said broken edges, I took it as not split ends, but literally breaking from using flat irons, curling irons, etc. I know exactly what you're talking about. Pay extra attention to this area by conditioning and try wrapping your hair at night. Sulfate free and moisturizing products are best. I started using virgin coconut oil as a sealant to help this.
