I read several reviews about this 'go blonder' spray by john frieda before I bought it. I was surprised that although there were few people with bad experiences most people were amazed with it. It has bleach in it and can be damaging so I have only used it once and will probably only use it every few months to keep from damaging my hair. I was wondering if any of you had tried it and what your experience has been!

Basically any sprays like this (like Sun In) are pretty damaging and drying because it opens up the hair cuticle. But as long as you don't use tons of it and use good conditioners its fine. I used to use it when I was younger (Sun In) and used this particular spray for my little brother and it didn't do anything bad.

How much is it if you don't mind me asking?

I used the john frieda go blonder shampoo when I had dirty blonde hair & though my hair was already quite damaged, it DESTROYED my hair. If you already have lighter hair, I recommend a purple toning shampoo. it really makes your highlights pop & your hair less brassy!! sorry I couldn't say anything about the spray but the shampoo & conditioner was awful.

It was 10.99 at Walgreens. It's Probably cheaper at walmart but they were sold out so I went to walgreens haha and Abby I've used the shampoo but oddly it made my hair really oily for some reason

If you have any warm undertone to your hair it may make it really brassy/orangish. That's what happened to me so I ended up going over it with john frieda light ash blonde to fix it.
