Hi guys, I've been watching a bunch of YouTube videos and I love the whole idea of it and would like to start my own channel. What are some tips to having a good channel ( what would you like to see?)

I love watching hauls, and chit chat getting readys but I like other videos as long as your personality shines through! Goodluck! Let me know what your username is going to be!

Just be yourself, most youtubers are popular because of their personality.

What @Jacqlyn said. I like someone with a sense of humor , and won't bore me easily. You want to sound like you ACTUALLY want to be there. Instead of being like , 'Hey. I'm doing a video of me.' Just sounds boring. And whatever your doing. make sure you have good facts. You don't want to give the wrong information. And if your going to have music on it? Make sure its not boring. Make sure you have some type of music to move your head to. But I love looking up about fashion , beauty tips, how to design, how to do this/how to do that. Thats one thing I don't be looking on youtube for. Dumb shit. I like to look up informational stuff C;.Not saying yours might not be informational , but still. I will follow , and subscrib you so I can?.. S..T.A.L.K you lol. In every vid I'm'a be like "Booboooo its me from beautylish girrrrrrl!"

But yeah? I will follow and support you lol. C;

Be yourself! I love watching people that are funny, honest and not afraid to be themselves. Also some research and planning into the best channels can give you more insight like which camera, some editing info, what typical video lengths are preferred etc. check your competition out! I personally love people that are funny and precise and don't ramble for twenty minutes about their cats breakfast.

I just wanna add that if you start to do reviews, do them because either you LOVE the product or its something you want to warn people about because it really isn't worth buying.. don't do reviews on things that you are paid to "like".. I just hate how fake some people can sound. like I almost feel offended that I subscribed to someone who uses us to make some side cash & tell us lies. then they have their "business inquiries" email in the bottom bar. like where is the true passion to be helpful and informative?

Some good, basic videos to start with would be a get ready with me or everyday makeup tutorial, top five favorite and least favorite products, lookbooks, and makeup tutorials on things that not all people know, like smokey eyes (I've seen a LOT of 'gurus' claim their gradient eyes are smokey eyes) and good contouring products (cool toned, not warm toned and matte, not shimmery). The other ladies covered that you need to be yourself and keep things interesting. (:

Do things that you would like to see if you were a viewer.

Make sure your video is not to long, never post some thing you wouldn't watch if it was not your video. Use a good camera with a good angle so they can see everything, it's a good idea to have some 'special guests' (aka your best friends) who know a fair bit about beauty. Also my fave (beauty related) videos are: great ready with me, DIYs, good and bad products and tips and tricks:)

Good luck on youtube:)
