Hi, nicolet. I went natural a year ago almost two years ago so maybe I can help. you can grow your permed hair out and every so often cut the perm ends not a lot just how you would if you were to trim your hair. I would say use olive oil shampoos or the organix brand also deep condition and make sure your hair stays moisturized from roots to end. Try to stay away from all heat. Make sure you wrap your hair up every night. Products I'd recommend would be olive oil ,coconut oil, Shea moisture products, Cantu Shea butter, Eco styler gel ,& curls unleashed products! Also protective styles such as braids , sew ins,& twist will help. I feel like I'm missing a lot but if you have any questions I can try to help you. (:

How long will it take for it to become natural.

I'm fully natural now and it's been a year and three or four months. I guess it really depends on hair growth and whether or not you cut your permed ends off if you don't cut them off you will have to wait awhile for your hair to become fully natural.

You're welcome! Anytime I had to learn everything about natural hair from YouTube and different blogs. It's hard being natural at my house because my mom has relaxed hair so whenever I have a bad hair day she's like well maybe you should get a relaxer since you complain. but my boyfriend loves my hair. I would sag start off with twist outs , Bantu knots, braid outs , puffs, and etc. if you need ant help you can always leave me a comment or I can give you my kik.

My best friend decided to go all natural about a year ago. she cute a good amount of hair to her chin but there was still some left. she did a lotttt of protein masks and only styled with shea butter. never straightened. now shes past way her shoulders and only has about an inch to cut off. I would suggest you check out hairlista... the website would probably help you a million times more!
