I need serious help with my hair. It is so thin I can never do anything with it but leave it down, I can't do any cool hairstyles since it is so thin. It hasn't always been that way, it use to be a little thicker. Also, I feel my hair line is receding. I'd really like to grow that back somehow? I'm sort of on a budget, but any tips or suggestions are much appreciated. My hair is dyed black and I do straighten it but use a heat protectant. I use drug store shampoo and conditioners. I am not looking into using any type of hair growth vitamin such as Biotin.. I am so tired of my paper thin hair and want thick locks as soon as possible. Yes, I understand its a genetic thing, but my family doesn't have fine hair like I do. It has gotten thinner over time somehow. ANY help you guys have would make me so thankful. Thank you.

You can try castor oil and cutting of heat completely so you can let your hair really grow. try deep conditioning with coconut and olive oil castor oil too. try hairstyle that don't tug on your hair.drink loads of water and eat healthy.

It might be a hormonal imbalance. You might want to get it check out by a doctor just in case. I can think of a handful of hormonal imbalances that it could possibly be.

Minoxidil is the only thing that can regrow hair. it works on most people that use it but will only give you the hair that was lost back. it won't grow your hair any thicker then it was originally. it needs to be applied everyday and once you stop using it the new growth will fall out again. if the thinning happened very rapidly and suddenly you should she your doctor. could be a thyroid or other issue going on.
