How should I get it cut.

I really need to cut my hair, the ends are so badly split and dry. anyways I don't know what cut I should do. I don't really wanna do a bob because I always do that when I get it cut. I need to be able to pull it into a ponytail so not overly short. I like the idea of edgy but I dunno what would look good. Any ideas?

I think if you cut a good 5 inches off, you can pull of that hairstyle!

Also would a pixie/short cut look wayy weird? Cuz I've been joking about doing that but looking at them now I kinda wanna but I Def don't wanna cut it all off then have it look awful.
