I do it and my hair is shiny. I only do it on my tips though not the scalp. But use egg yolks not the whites. :)

I am mapping the hair growth accurately this time around, but from previous experience I can tell you that it does promote healthy hair, I coloured my long hair, used heat twice a week for all those 6 years and never a split end or dried ends.
