Whenever I put my foundation on it always looks cakey!! I only use 1-2 squirts. It's not the foundation because it looked great before it just started happening about a week ago.

Are you using a different moisturizer or something different?

Try exfoliating it might be a dead skin cell buildup. Make sure to moisturize after. Invest in a silicone based primer such as maybelline baby skin or hard candy sheer envy primer.

If you have drier skin then exfoliate, moisturize, use a silicone based primer and avoid buffing in your foundation. Try stippling it on as buffing it I'm can cause micro exfoliation and makes it look cakey.

If you're oily exfoliate more often, use a moisturizer that actually moisturizes so that your skin doesn't produce too much oils. Avoid silicone based primers as they tend to mix with the skins oils and makeup then end up getting cakey. Try milk of magnesia if you really feel the need for a primer. Use a buffing brush (preferably dense) and apply your makeup in a circular clockwise and counterclockwise motion, doing so helps to make pore appear smaller and it really gets the makeup evenly applied and you use less of it. You want to really set your makeup. Use a powder puff, and really pay on translucent powder generously. You should look like you have a bunch of powder on (go easy around the eyes) let it stay on for a couple of minutes to really set the makeup and absorb the oils and then use a big powder brush and just lightly brush off the excess powder and you won't get the caking avoid powders with silicone like MACs studio fix powder foundation

If you've had it for about 6 months to a year, it could be going bad.

I've been using the same moisturizer, and I exfoliate too. I've only had this foundation for about two months. I'll try using a beauty blender :) thank you all.
