Use a lengthening mascara and tap off all that excess mascara off the wand to avoid clumps..start at the root and wiggle the wand all the way to the tip carefully, this might take practice but you'll get the hang of it.

I found a really helpful trick which is get your wand with mascara and coat the tips of the lashes inside so place the wand just Infront of your eyelid and move your wand up the tips of the lashes but not the side showing, the inside of your lashes... I know confusing but I explained the best I could x
