Mac palette colors?

What are some good shades I should start off a Mac palette with? I'm thinking of starting about 4-6 and then eventually making my way up from there. I like neutrals, like browns and slightly rosy hued neutrals. NOTE: sometimes I do people's makeup and might use this on different looking people than me, so give me good shades in general.
