Ok, so I don't break out often, at all. That said, when I *do* break out, it's usually a pretty bad pimple. It's hard to get rid of it, when it happens. Nothing seems to work. I get them mostly around my lips, which I assume is because of my constant chapstick/lip gloss use, and also on my chin. Is there anything you guys can recommend that REALLY works well? I just bought burt's bees natural blemish stick yesterday, it uses tea tree oil as a natural form of salicylic acid, according to the box. Maybe that'll help.. hope so!

What do you use as an astringent? I use witchhazel. I find that it cleanses deep down(especially when applied with a cotton round with ridges). It's gentle enough to use once a day without drying your skin. I would recommend still using a moisturizer after cleansing.

It could be something you are reacting to. It could be the lip products like you said but it could also be something else. I've heard of people breaking out around their mouth because of toothpaste even. I would advise you to visit a dermatologist so you can get to the root of the problem!

Catalina I don't use astringent often. Occasionally I use Clinique toner. It's rare, though. The Burt's bees I got is great though! It's a roll-on and I really like it:)

If you're not breaking out often and it's usually in the same area of your face, it could be hormonal. Those are the only breakouts I get now, and the 1-2 pimples I get strictly show up on my chin. Try keeping track of when you feel a breakout coming on, and see if there's any pattern to it.
As far as product recommendation, I love the Aztec Secrets clay mask. It helps draw out pimples that are deep down (which is what my hormonal acne usually is) and once it's on the surface, it helps to dry it out and get rid of it. The tea tree oil blemish stick should help. Maybe Catalina's suggestion of using a toner/astringent could help as well. If it's hormonal acne, there really isn't anything you can do about it, but if its not hormonal, that could help to clear out your pores. And like Amy said, a derm visit may be in order. They can help you sort out what is causing your acne in the first place. Good luck!

Thanks Courtney! It sounds like it could be hormonal, I hadn't thought of that. Ill look for that mask.
