Well keeping skin clear or keeping blemishes concealed well is a good start, if you have any. mac's foundations look especially flawless on clear or concealed skin. also a beautyblender is good for flawless blending without brush strokes, if you haven't tried it.

Mac longwear pro concealer is probably one of the best I've tried, and their face and body foundation is a great perfect looking light coverage foundation.

They probably do wear all mac products since that's where they work. I'm not much into mac products but you might get the same effects from using their prep and prime skin, pro long wear concealer, (depending on what finish you want and type of coverage you need) studio fix foundation seem to be their popular one, and finish with a mac mineralize skinfinish. You could schedule to get your makeup done by one of the makeup artist or ask for some samples of their products. The best thing to do to get a flawless finish is to always have a good skin care regimen and prime your face before applying makeup since it creates a smooth canvas and helps your makeup last longer.

I wouldn't suggest stupid fix if you're pale though cause even the lightest shade was 2-3 shades darker than my skin.
