Okay y'all! So every time I do my makeup, I go for a natural, dewy finish. No matter what I do, it ends up looking not as natural as I'd like and not as dewy/Fresh faced as I'd like! I do not set my makeup with a setting powder (even though I have oily skin, my skin does not get oily with most foundations I use). Any tips on how I can get more dewy/fresh/natural looking makeup?

Also, I struggle with acne so I want something that's natural looking but will cover my acne.

Mix liquid illuminator and primer in with your foundation. Use a eyeshadow blending brush to apply a small amount powder under eyes and t zone. It could also be that the brush you use to apply your foundation (like a stippling brush) is microexfoliating your face which could be making the makeup look less natural. Applying foundation with a sponge (such as a beauty blender) in a bouncing motion can give good coverage without making it look to heavy and flat. Hope I helped (:

Rebecca's advice is right on the money about illuminator. I love beccas opal. Don't be afraid to highlight to. Pick a nice creamy one like mac prep and prime in radiant rose, or benefits watts up. Apply on forehead above your eyebrows, highpoint of cheekbones, and on the Cupid's bow.
When it comes to face sprays, there are two option, setting sprays and fixing sprays. setting spray like UD all nighter help your makeup stay on longer, fixing sprays take away the powdery matt look. I use both, use fix plus first, put on lipstick while it drys, then setting spray. It looks more dewy that way.

I have some foundations I love, but fail to dew me. My friend, who is in the industry recommend mixing a hint of MAC Strobe Cream with my foundation..or CC cream. She also said I could just apply it in areas..like the apples of my cheeks for a bit of glow. I am not big on MAC..and wanted something without sparkles. I tried a hint of it and Lawdy!! My face was so fresh and hydrated. It has green tea extract to soothe.. felt wonderful. I'm in love and can get some hydration with it while still using any foundation I like!
