Take a scissor especially for hair and cut the split end. It can make it's way up the shaft and with you pulling it makes it worse! This is really really bad. My sister did it and eventually had to have about 7 inches cut off because her hair got so uneven.

STOP it makes ur splits go up the whole hair strand instead of just the ends. Very bad for your hair. Is not a "fix" it is damaging it further

take a dime size bunch of hair twist it up real well and snip off the hairs that fly out best to do it a lil damp not too much tho or nothing will fly out. ooollllddd school method was to use a candle and singe the fly outs lil history for ya lol
