Can be either. It's more sheer coverage. I don't use foundation, only bb cream. I've never been one to pile on heavy foundation though, I don't need it.

It was made to replace your foundation. The most available ones in America are more like tinted moisturizers, whereas Asain BB Creams (most BB Creams) are medium to full coverage. It really just depends on the coverage you want.

Well, the higher end brands are more than tinted moisturizer. The drugstore brands are basically just that. But I disagree that more expensive high end brands are just tinted moisturizer.

I use Maybelline BB cream with Bare Minerals oil control prime time since I have oily skin. It has great coverage and really evens out my skin. However I find it to be really dewy.

Maybelline BB Cream is great and reasonable. Today I had someone tell me that I have flawless skin & I gave all the credit to Maybelline's BB Cream! Let me know if you try it out and if you like it!

I have heard that higher end brands were better than drugstore, I just can't honestly agree because I haven't tried them, so I also couldn't recommend them. Sorry for the confusion!

Callie, just wanted to give my input bc I do use the higher end brands. Compared to drugstore it's like two totally diff products! I don't like that drugstore ones have the same title, because they really are much like a simple tinted moisturizer. I was agreeing with you to an extent;)

FYI: Iman cosmetics will launch their BB cream sometime in Dec. The line will feature 35 different shades. I currently use Iman's pressed powder. Its very comparable to any high end line.
