My mum won't let me wear mascara to school when I'm in year 7 but I really want to cause it opens my eyes but she thinks it makes you look older and give you black eyes.

Well I would try asking if you could use clear mascara & an eyelash curler. The clear will hold the curl and help to make your lashes stand out more!

Eh mascara is overrated lol. Just curl your lashes and if she will let you, use a clear mascara. I'm sure your mom has a good reason for not letting you. Moms usually do.

Lash curling is really effective but maybe you can talk to your mom about compromising with a "lash tint". Its not as dramatic as a regular mascara and will basically just darken your lashes without adding any significant volume or length. Here's a pic.
