Cleaning your brushes and sponges!!

I'm sure someone has asked this before but the search bar is absolutely useless for me.

How do you ladies clean your brushes and sponges and what product do you use? The cleaner that I was advised to use sucks! (Gotta love the Ulta employees that SWEAR they know what they are talking about but really are just pushing products they want to sell). It's some all purpose stuff that is in the checkout line. I THINK it's by philosophy. It cleans my face better than brushes.

I use sephora brush cleanser, baby shampoo, quo brush cleanser and normally I use the sephora touch up spray between clients.

It's on the expensive side, but in the Beautylish store check out Parian Spirits. Glorious stuff, that. I have the wipes version. One wipe cleans all of my brushes (I have a decent amount) and leaves everything clean, dry and smelling like oranges.

All thm brush"shampoos" suck and are costly. Try a mixture of a cup of warm water with about a teaspoon of vineger n 1-2 teaspoon of Dawn soap. I only use this and its worked better thn any shampoo I've tryd.

Cinema Secrets or Parian Spirit Brush cleanser for spot treating. A dip in some olive oil, and clarifying shampoo for deep cleaning. The girl at Ulta told me to use dish soap, but would you use dish soap to wash your own hair? Your brushes should be treated with care.

For daily cleaning I use the sephora brand brush cleaner - it's alcohol based n dries quickly n gets my brushes clean for daily use - to deep clean I just use my personal hair shampoo n mix with water about once a month or so.

I'm pretty sure your refering to purity by philosophy which I sometimes use to clean my brushes otherwise I use sonia kashuk brush cleanser. I honestly like purity more though and it is actually made as a face cleanser.
