So this morning I noticed that I had darker patches on my face that are flaky and have a bit of a scaley appearance. I have one on my forehead near my hairline, one of my browbone and a few around my month and nose..I also have small red dots on my cheek and jawline. I haven't changed any skincare or makeup, none of it has expired, my brushes and hands are always clean and I already use a scrub twice a week. I actually haven't worn makeup since Friday so I know it has nothing to do with that. does anyone know what might have caused it or how to help it?

An allergic reaction to something? Also could be your face wash having a bad reaction to the sun, have you spend more time than usual in the sun? Because those patches sound to me like burned areas.

I have been using the same face wash for over a year. it is still winter here, no sun at all. they are just like darker skin toned not burned or tanned or anything. the patches don't feel like anything they itch a little like dry skin. the spots on my cheek do hurt when I try washing moisturizing or pretty much wet my face though.

I get dry flaky skin patches sometimes, it's exima I got from my dad. you should probably go see a dermatologist if they do not go away soon because even though it is probably just a reaction to something it can also be something more serious.
