I would like. Personally that plum is too dark for me but it would be a great color to mix with other colors or for an ombré lip!

She barely wears any makeup, her main focus is a lip color that pops, so I think this would look amazing but extremely simple. I don't know. feels like it won't really be much more than a lipstick and eyeliner shade exclusively named.

Personally, I think it's a little premature for her to be getting a makeup line.
She's been in the industry for what, a year? And she has ONE hit song. The rest of her music is nice but I think her fan base is a little young for MAC Cosmetics.
But on to the actual makeup- Rita is right I never see her actually wearing "heavy" makeup (the way Nicki, Rihanna and Gaga do) the only thing she did was that vamp lip at the Grammy's. She said it was a mix of Cyber and Heroine over Vino lip pencil, so MAC will probably formulate this lippie and slap a new name on it. Not impressed.

I'm not crazy about it. I have yet to find a time where I think her makeup is flattering. I never believed in 'dark lipstick can age you' until I saw her. Her makeup ages her face and is never anything 'wowing'. I think there are so many better artist they could have chosen (style wise and music wise). Like Beyonce, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys, and many more. I dunno, just not feeling it.
Plus, MAC already has some really dark colored lipsticks, so I'll be interested to see if the lipstick is anything new or just old and repackaged.

Wow. A Beyonce line would sell out in a millisecond. Lots of glowy fresh products plus it's BEYONCE! I doubt she'd actually sign on to do one though...
I was thinking of celebrities that should MAC should sign and never thought of Gwen. She would be perfect, I would love to see that happen.

I actually love this bc I don't wear much eyeshadow either, I mostly go for neutral everyday but I love the vampy lips :o.

I agree she doesn't even wear too much makeup, the vampy lips and really cute...but for fall not the summer if thats when this line is supposed to come out.

As for the face chart, it's making it's way all over the internet. I have no idea of it's origin nor can I find it but I do know the collection itself is legit.

I'm excited for it if it happens! I'm not a fan of her music, but she has the style that Mac promotes. It's unique, out of the box, and bold. She isn't neccessarily iconic, but I think a makeup line inspired by her would be incredible. It would be dark, fresh, sleek, and new. With her imaginative mind and Mac's creativity, I don't think it will fail us, even if we don't care for her that much.

Not a fan. Very plain and premature is a great word to use! Would love to see a beyonce or Gwen line! Loved Gwen's opi line. Would love to see a more vintage looking line from MAC ( winged liner dramatic lip. ) Marilyn / aubrey maybe??

Yes they did do a Marilyn line in the past. I would rather seen an old line be revived (Barbie or Heatherette PLEASE!) An Audrey line would be beautiful!
Cami thanks for the article! I read it and it sounds like the face chart was created by the MAC artist that tours with Lorde. Hmm.

If its part of the Viva Glam then I think its a great thing. I don't have any opinion on Lorde, but shes popular and the moneys going to the MAC Aids Fund so it can only be a positive thing really.
