Over the past few months I've done a ton of research on what helps to reduce frizz, etc. So far, none of the tips have really helped! My hair used to be curly, but now that it is longer, it,s more on the wavy side. I don't mind spending money on products like Moroccanoil as long as I know they'll work. The biggest issue I have is that a lot of the static is near my roots, but most of the anti-frizz serums and stuff are too oily to apply there. Should I invest in a good flat iron? A brazilian blowout? Any & all advice is appreciated :)

Invest in a great flat iron(babyliss; Paul Mitchell; FHD)! Moroccan oil is great stuff but also the "it's a 10" line. Don't forget thermal protection! I believe "it's a 10" leave in does everything!! Also at the roots maybe try a dry shampoo. I color my hair black and use the suave dry shampoo. It actually works!! I used the 20+ brands and went through it so much and fell in love with this dry shampoo. If u can avoid washing everyday and spray the dry shampoo in between washes!! Good luck! Hope this helped some!

Ohhhh the Brazilian blowout I heard stinks like crazy and damages the hair soo bad. I do hair and makeup for TV shoots and that is what I have heard from the actresses.

I try trimming the hair so its not so heavy I not saying a derastic cut just a 1/2 inch to 1 inch off. Now for the morocan oil(which is wonderful) if used too much it can break your hair off. I would suggest getting an argan oil deep conditioner that you leave in for 5-10 minutes after shampooing.

I've had the Brazilian blowout and it has helped so much. It does smell really bad because it had formaldehyde which is used to embalm dead bodies. My hair is not damaged at all as long as you take care of it with professional products and the service is done by a professional. Moroccan oil is very good too. If you get a Brazilian blowout a good flat iron would be better and would be well worth your money. I use the Paul Mitchell flat iron and would never trade it and I have crazy curly hair.

I use argan oil to avoid the frizz, I use the one from pro naturals and it has worked pretty nice, leaves my hair soft, shiny, frizz less and healthy. :D

I think keratin will work nicely, though you don't have to get a treatment, you can use products with keratin in them like Cocoa keratin shampoo and conditioner.

Try using an oil, such as LOreal Professionnel's mythic oil. It can be applied to your hair prior to your shower, rinsed out then shampooed and reapplied again to towel dried hair. Your hair is frizzy because your hair's cuticles are open, rather than closed. Once you get in a regular routine of nourishing the cuticle layer of your hair, it will soften and relax, thus eliminating your frizz.

Get the keratin complex not the brazilian blowout!! I've gotten it twice and I loved it. Its been like two years and I still feel like my hair is manageable and I have curly dry hair!

I have very frizzy hair too. What helped me is I bought a brush that has tourmaline ionic cermaic bristles. It helped me a ton. Smooth and Shine polishing spray helps with the frizz at your ends so I would apply that to your hair. Don't forget leave in conditioner, this is an ideal product for frizzy hair. To blow dry your use makes sure there's ions to help reduce frizz. Hope this helps.
