What could be causing the spots I keep getting round my mouth , they worry me because I get cold sores too so the minute I see a spot I think cold sore and ice it, but then my mouth becomes really red, which I don't mind if it's a cold sore but if it's a spot then I'm just making it worse because my lips have been chapped I have been using more lip balm is it that?

I used to get red bumps from using certain lip balms. A couple of times I made the mistake and squeezed.. It got so bad :(

The only ones I can use are the Nivea Essential Care (dark blue) and Moogoo (Aussie brand)
