I agree with velen.. to wear that color you need to add a bit of warmth to your cheeks.
but n all honesty, it doesn't look bad but I don't feel it adds to your beauty.. purple is not the issue I just don't think that particular shade is it for you..
what lipstick is it? if you don't mind me asking..

Thank you all! I wore it one day and felt pretty self conscious about it! I will try to add some colour to my cheeks next time and go for it again!

@Naomi S: I can't see Velen's comment here, at all? Not sure why. It's Lime Crime in Poisonberry. I tried some more burgundy-ish (like the Chanel Rouge Noir, and a MAC one [forgot the colorur]) colours before, but I felt like those were even more difficult for me to pull off..

Haha. sorry for the confusion. I've been calling her V and slipped and called V Velen. lol..

LC poisonberry. very cool shade. I've attached some other suggestions. its not that the shade is dark or looks terrible. I just think there are other dark purples that will look better is all. hope you don't take it the wrong way.

just off the top of my head. some shades by nyx.
nyx round lipstick in bruised (super dark dark purple but I think it would look amazing on ya).
also, nyx matte lipstick in aria.
nyx butter lipstick in hunk.
matte lip cream in Prague (medium). or Transylvania (deep dark).
deep experiment with dark lippies. bottomline, have fun and wear what makes you feel good!
