I'm not sure why they are staying on but you can try using a cleansing brush to get the sparkles off when you go to wash your face :)

I really like Photo Ready. To remove it, I use Coconut Oil..then Philosophy's Purity..just my fingertips..then pat dry with a soft cotton washcloth. No sparkles that I have noticed.
