I want to use a protein pack I got from Sallys, but I've used them before so I know they are strengthening & not moisturising and can dry the hair a little bit. So is it okay to use it on my dry (but split end free) ends or should I only use it on the top two thirds of my hair?

I'm not hair pro so I'm just spit balling but Is your hair damaged or is it dry? If it's damaged I would think your ends would be split since that's the oldest and most fragile hair. So why the need to protein pack only the top and not the end cuz in my head I think if your hairs damaged then your ends would need it the most. If your hair is just dry then I would stay away from the protein and get super moisturizing products. I use the brand Keristase. It's pretty pricey but their stuff works so well. They have a line for dry hair called their Nutritive line. It's amazing. Also there hair oil for damaged hair (green one) or the one for desensitized hair (purple one) work amazing as well. I usually find what I want on the website then go to Amazon whee I can find them all just a touch cheaper

If your ends are dry due to using more protein then don't use that protein pack on your ends. Since your ends seem "damaged" it's actually because you used more protein and need a moisturizing treatment. Too much protein can cause breakage
