So I naturally have very pale skin, and I I burn quickly. I am so tired of being pale and pasty though! do you guys have any tips for tanning sun-sensitive skin? oh and I really don't want to spray tan, too paranoid of spotty areas and uneven color 😕

I'm very pale and use Jergens foam gradual tan for light skin and their face tan. I exfoliate...apply moisturizer and wear latex gloves..moving quickly in sections. I also have the St. Tropez mitt. I have tried the high end ones and felt fake on me. I also like Pur Minetals "Get A Little"... very natural..hint of color. Also heard Victoria's Secret tan is very nice.

I would hit up Sephora and Ulta online and search for self tanners. The reviews from fellow pale folks may be of help.

I am extremely pale and don't tan at all I tried a tanning bed for a month and almost nothing happened except for burning my friend is the same way and she went somewhere to get a professional spray tan and it turned out really nice! That's what I will be doing for prom this year :)

I completely agree wirh Rozberry on sunless tanners. They are easy to use, and provide a natural, tan glow. Not to mention safe for the skin! They also typically last me at least 5 days before it is completely faded.
On the other hand, some spray tans are reeeaaaallly good. My one tip is DO NOT get a spray tan from a machine. The machines are what makes you blotchy and orange looking. If you get a real person to spray tan you they can make sure they evenly cover every surface. Some places can even formulate fake tan colors just for you! If you get one, follow their instructions and it will last longer and not get crazy.
Good luck 💋

Cami, I agree. A friend swore up and down how great and quick the machines were. I came out of there feeling sticky and with spots that were uneven. Some people love them and can rock it, but if I were going to ever spray tan again, I would definitely have someone trained spray me.

Riley,
For me, being so pale, I always make sure I moisturize REALLY well with my favorite lotion just before applying the self-tanner..paying particular attention to my elbows and knees..color collects there so the lotion helps reduce splotches or darkening areas where the flesh bends repeatedly (such as the underarm) I'm also mindful of my feet and ankles. I really like the St. Tropez mitt, and so I alternate between that and the disposable gloves. The nice thing about the gloves are that they don't leave me with stained hands yet I can still really move the tanner about...rubbing it in. IF you do happen to get a little streaky, you can always exfoliate with a sugar scrub or something to that effect and self-tanners will give you a second chance..lol I only use the foam though because it seems to give a more even, natural color. Good luck!

Please no tanning beds 😭 the doctors told my family they firmly believe that's how my mom got leukemia, it's a cancer that primarily takes over your blood cells! Sorry to be scary, but I'll protect anyone I can. She used to tna using tanning beds all the time since we lived in Texas and it was to hot to lay out.

I honesty use the sun, I abuse the beach during the summer and I make sure that my skin is covered and well taken care of. Just please be careful what you choose! 😩
