I'm feeling kind of in a rut. I usually do natural eyes, because I'm still a make up newbie. But I want to try to add some color. I don't mean a full on bright blue eye shadow look, I don't think I'm ready to pull that off yet, just something small. What are your recommendations for eye shadow palettes and/or techniques?

Something like lining your eyes with a dark purple or dark blue eyeliner instead of a black can add some colour as well as enhance your eye colour! A deep purple also looks great as a crease colour if you're doing a slightly more dramatic look + it looks amazing with a gold shadow on the lid! (sketch and woodwinked from mac look amazing together).
Besides that you can also look into duochrome shadows! Like club from mac which is a gorgeous brown with a green sheen to it! :)
