I have medium to long thick hair with layers and bangs and I really like updos because they look so classy
But bobby pins do not work for my hair they just slide out
I've even hairsprayed them and everything and they just do not work
So is there any pictorials or just pictures of some updos that you don't need bobby pins for?
Thanks everyone:)

I agree with Jacklyn.. Or maybe your just using it wrong... If it doesn't work you can just use really small hair clips..

Have you ever heard of spin pins? They are amazing for buns. They're like spiral bobby pins and they make updos so much easier, believe me. I have thin fine hair and I have to use a million bobby pins for a hairstyle to stay in place.

You could always do whatever up do you wanted with a cute headband to keep the rest of your bangs and stuff out of the way. I also like the look of pieces out in front. Basically any type of braids look better to me a little messy without everything pined down.

With buns, my bobby pins can be stubborn, so I feel you. What I do with updos when I can't use bobby pins, I have a lightweight spray gel, I believe that it's Garnier Fructis's curl shaping gel, I spray it toward the root of my fly aways and finger brush it through after my bun is in, it doesn't look or feel greasy or stiff like other gels might. Hope it helps?
