I'm looking for a good foundation! I have dry skin and I'm looking for medium coverage but most importantly a natural look, nothing cakey. Any suggestions?! Thanks :)

Sounds like a question for my makeup mommy (Jacqueline H.) the beautiful, MUA/moderator extraordinaire

I would go with NARS Sheer Matte or Sheer Glow foundation. both are good for dry - normal skin types, & it has a medium but buildable coverage. I use this foundation, & I love it. when applied with a beauty blender, it looks completely natural. not cakey at all c: I like it a lot more than the Naked Skin foundation.

I like making a foundation cocktail. Once you find your foundation (NARS sheer glow or Tartes Maracuja oil 24/7 are my faves) add a pump of moisturizer to sheer it out and then a pump of luminizer to make your face glowy. (:

I would go for the Maybelline fit me. It's moisterizing and gives a natural glowy look to the skin.

If you're looking for something that's a bit more affordable, Neutrogena Healthy Skin is a wonderful dupe (imo)

L'oreal Lumi foundation. I don't have dry skin but my friend does and she LOVES this drugstore foundation. It has a nice dewy glow.

Bobbi Brown Extra Repair is great, but is for only those with the driest skins. Will help hide flakes and will feel moist after application. I don't use a setting powder except for my nose. I use a setting spray instead. My skin will be moist for the first 30 minutes or so but my dry skin will naturally suck the moisture from my skin, so it just looks like natural skin. I pat it onto my skin, so I don't rile up any more flakes. No brush! Beauty blender to fine tune at the end of finger application. I would get a sample first.

So far Clinique Even Better has been the best for my dry skin. Tarte 24/7, Nars Sheer Glow or Matte, Too Faced, Laura Mercier and Makeup Forever is good. Personally Urban Decay Naked just didn't work for me, it looks good far away and covers well, but up close it looks so cakey on me, even after trying different primers and setting powders; same thing with L'Oreal True Match Lumi.
