I want to get my cartilage pierced but I don't know if I should get a stud or hoop piercing. Which one do you think I should get?

A hoop to start for sure.

I have one myself, I have a stud, but I really believe you should get a hoop. It will aid in better healing in the end, and it's less of a possibility of getting a keloid. Also, make sure you get it done with a needle, I didn't myself, but I really wish I
Would have. Hope this helped!

Hair gets caught in a hoop easier. Besides, I though they ALWAYS pierced it with a stud first then after it healed you could change it. They pierced mine with a stud first then I changed to a hoop. Also, I found a hoop 10x harder to lay on, even after it was healed.

But I guess it just really depends on the person.

I say start with a stud and try a hoop later

They'll give you a stud, usually piercers advise against a ring/hoop to begin with because then the piercing heals to fit the hoop and then when you wana wear a normal stud it makes it harder so I'd say a stud until it heals then you can wear whatever you like. Also there's more likelyness with a hoop to get it caught on towels/clothes tags, etc.

I started with I stud & I like it a lot better! One of my friends got hers done with a hoop & hated the hoop so much she took it out & let it grow up.
