I don't go by trends, I wear what I feel like. so yes black and white is acceptable if you feel like wearing it.

I feel like spring colors are pastel colors, and I like looks with skirts and shorts paired with tights and nylons to make them warmer, also sweater or long sleeved shirts, unless you live somewhere that's pretty warm, then I think thank tanks with lightweight or short sleeved cardigans are adorable.

I think black and white are classic and can be worn whenever, whatever season! Big things right now are pastels, lace, florals, high wasted pants/shorts, skater skirts/dresses, open-back tops, etc.

I think the one melanies got on the right is a b& w outfit totally meant for spring / summer its cute! maybe add a scarf ( or that may look too french)
