Time and brushes! The MAC 217 is an awesome blending brush. And the tapered blending brush from MAC or Sigma is also good.

They can really make all the difference. I have a Coastal Scents blending brush that's supposed to be a dupe for the MAC 217. And while it's ok, there is most DEFINITELY a noticeable difference.

It could also be the eyeshadow you're using. Some brands can be chalky and patchy by nature, especially certain matte shades. They usually require a little more time/work to blend well.

To blend correctly take a blending brush and swipe back and forth or in circles, that is what I do. Good luck with it 😉
