I've watched many nail tutorials and majority of them involve using a dotting tool for detail. Where can I buy one or is there any way I could create my own? :)

If u want like legit dotting tools go to michaels there like 4 bucks plus u know how they always get 50% off coupons so u get like 4 I think some double ended sides and 1 large dotter I think it's great if u live near a michaels

A mechanical pencil is my favorite to use as a dotting tool, or I snip off the end of a toothpick because I find that it's too sharp and doesn't deposit much nail polish. Generally just look for skinny objects with a blunt end.

I use a sewing needle and attach it to the end of a pencil like this and it works perfect

What I did was with a hat pin and a pencil. I took the little hat pin, which is kind of like a straight pin, but with a round little ball at the end, and shoved it into the eraser of the pencil. It works SO well! I got my pins at Hobby Lobby, so if you go there, they have a couple different sizes. Good luck!

I tried all the DIY methods before and ended up ordering a set of 5 double ended dotting tool online for about 3 dollars... And let me tell you it was worth it. There's just too much hassle with the tools you can make yourself.
