Ok I'm going to make this as short as possible...
This is my makeup routine (I taught myself... I'm not very good at it lol)
1.) primer
2.) tarte cream concealer (I have a lot of pimples and red spots)
3.) loose power foundation from bare minerals
4.)mascara
My problem: I don't know if I'm not applying it right because I never seem to cover up my pimples all the way my face always ends up have red spots still :( also I love wearing blush but I never put it on because it makes my red spots even more red :( and I've realized that my face gets really dry so I really need to stop using powder... I was looking into liquid foundation but I'm scared to try it because I don't know how to use it and I don't want to be cakey, I want to look as natural as possible. All I want it for is to cover my blemishes... Any tips/ help/ advice?

A BB cream would be perfect for you! It's liquid so into woke cake up but it's light enough so it won't look streaky. You can apply it with clean hands, a sponge, or a brush- it's SO simple! They usually give decent coverage too so you may not need concealer. This will even your skin tone and hide a good percent of your blemishes. Then go in with a concealer brush or Q Tip and dot on concealer where needed. As for blush you may be using the wrong color. A good cream blush would eliminate the cakey problem but if you choose a good pink color it shouldn't look red. If you want suggestions for blushes let me know. (:

To cover up redness, I suggest using a green colour corrector. it cancels out the red & makes it look more even.
I would also maybe consider a more full coverage foundation. I definitely agree with what Jacqlyn suggested. ypu can also try Revlon Colourstay or PhotoReady foundation. I've also been hearing a lot of good things about the Rimmel Stay Matte foundation (: if you do switch to a liquid foundation, you should start using concealer after your foundation, & then a finishing powder to set it in place!

Thank you so much! So I use concealer after liquid foundation? And I had no idea that the wrong shade of blush was even a thing! Lol mine is just a pink one from bare minerals.

You can use concealer before & after if you want. concealer is technically meant to hide whatever blemishes still show through foundation, so that's why most people use it after.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but you should try a green primer! Green cancels out red! Smashbox has an amazing one! Look I to it :)
