I've used four different MAC foundations (and more, but I can't remember my impression of them.) and pro longwear was my least favorite. It has a very tacky and thick texture that is hard to explain. You have to work quickly when applying it. That being said, my mom uses it and swears by it so it really is a personal preference.
I would go ahead and buy it and see how you like it. MAC usually has a really lax return policy so you should be fine returning it if it doesn't work it.

@antonia the girl at mac tried it on me with stobe liquid to help give it more of a dewy finish, I've just been in the market for a long wear full coverage foundation and came acrossed it since the concealer is pretty awesome lol.. any other suggestions if not that? would be greatly appreciated! I o
so suck at making decisions :p

I've been wearing MAC foundations for around 4/5 years now. Everytime I "step out" I regret it. But recently I've really been wanting to try the Kat Von D lock it foundation. It's exactly what you're asking for. I would check that out.
And yes I agree the prolongwear concealer is amazing and so is the strobe cream. They need to sell the concealer in a larger size so I can use it as a foundation.

Dang! that's dedication! I'm always searching for the next best thing lol I've heard about that one, been weighing on that one tarte or mac or lancome... oh the decisions! and if only they would! that would be the answer! perfect foundation haha.
