Desperately trying to recreate my once youthful complexion - any pointers regarding foundation/primers/concealers for oily/dehydrated skin?

A good moisturizer should help with dehydration. I like Loracs poreless, mattifying primer. It's also oil free and paraben free. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is amazing for both oily and dehydrated skin.

Tarte oil at night. Philosophy miracle at night.
Use Mia 2 at night with purity to clean. I have oily. Acne prone. Aging skin. With forehand wrinkles that just make me cry sometimes. My auto immune disease causes it to be worse than usual. Took me forever to find a routine. Bc of my oily skin I never even dreamed oil would work. The reason I mentioned all this is simply due to the fact ,that I bought every foundation. You can list and none. NONE would make my skin appear even a tiny bit smoother ,nicer ,youthful. All the things we want
After changing up my skin routine that's no longer an issue. Even my pores (which I could clean every day if I had time gross) are so so much better. I literally spent 7 months buying and returning skin creams ,cleaners ,primer , foundation. I had all but given up. Oh also I got my dr to give me a script for retinol a (I believe forgive me if I got the spelling wrong ). Every other night mix it with my oil and wow wow wow. Good luck

I use the garnier moisture renew gel also, and LOVE it.
Also, powders are the enemy of aging skin. Creams, gels, etc.are much more helpful.

Traci is the skin care goddess here, so you might want to check out her profile as there are many helpful convos in the comments there. And they're right. ^ If your skin isn't happy, all the foundations in the world won't work.

I have that Garnier gel too! I really like it in spring and summer. For winter I need a little more cause the cold sucks the moisture from my skin. Currently using sephora, Murad and philosophy products.
