Treatments are great, but can be pricey :s I don't know what's exactly wrong with your hair, but a good hair cut & the right products can work wonders! definitely chop off your split ends, there's no bringing those back to life, lol! you can ask your stylist what the best shampoo & conditioner for you hair would be. you can also ask about at-home treatments, like the Redken keratin treatment (don't remember the exact name). to get more moisture in your hair, I recommend a deep conditioner. L'oreal Power Moisture Mask & Aussie 3 Minute Miracle are some good ones. they make your hair really soft!
if you want to go in for a treatment tho, most of the salons I've been to do have treatments for desperate times. just go in & ask or check them out online :p

I'm a fan of joico kpac shampoo and conditioner. its well worth the money and it helps repair.
