I always use children's detanglers because they're really gentle and generally work really well:) I haven't found one that I didn't like

Take just a tiny drop of conditioner (about a dime sized drop) in a spray bottle. Fill the rest up with water and shake it so it mixes up. I normally use this for wigs since I have short hair, but it works on actual hair even better.
