(Black) Eyeliner- On The Waterline Or Lashline?

What do you think looks better? (especially for a daily life look-no dramatic eye make-up).
I usually line my lashline to make my eyes look brighter and bigger but on the other hand- black eyeliner on the waterline makes the eyes pop more (but my eyes always hurt when I apply eyeliner on the waterline lol).

It different for everyone, I have brown skin so dark eyeliner on the waterline looks great on me.

For a daily look, I put black liner on my upper water & lash line, & then nude or white liner on the lower water line. makes my eyes look way bigger & makes me look more awake.

I do the lash line in black and my water line in either white or silver... But if I wanna be a little more dramatic ill line both in black.

I've always put it on my waterline but it smudges. however you can quickly pass the tip of the eyeliner over a lighter and then smudge some on your hand to cool it down. I find that this sets on the eye much better :)
